Branston Golf and Country Club was established in 1975 and is now one of the leading leisure facilities in the Midlands. It is a commercially run club led by managing director, Ben Laing. The club is a modern leisure facility offering a number of amenities across golf, health and fitness, conference and banqueting and general hospitality. Hardy Signs has been providing Branston Golf & Country Club with signage for more than 20 years and is delighted to have continued their relationship.
Previously, Hardy Signs has been involved with a wide variety of the signage across the facilities at Branston Club from post and panel signage to wayfinding and directional signage. At the beginning of 2019 Hardy Signs completed a project to design, manufacture, and install 40 square metres of full-colour digital wallpaper graphics as part of the club’s £150k refurbishment of the spin studio.
[SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MORE PICTURES] On this occasion, the works consisted of brand-new illuminated fascia signage, reception signage, roadside signage and post and panel signage. This new signage needed to show off a new logo and new colour scheme in an eye-catching manner.
Planning got underway in February of this year and things started falling into place in summer with the manufacture and installation of the first sign, an external illuminated fascia.
At the very front of the building, the overall look has changed dramatically from what it once was. It now has a sleek, modern look created from built-up brushed stainless-steel letters. This sign is illuminated with cool white LEDs for a ‘halo’ effect.
In addition, a number of additional Hardy Signs branded signs have been added as part of our continuing relationship and sponsorship of the club which extends over 25 years. Over that time, we have supplied a wide range of signage solutions to both the club and the community trust alike.
These solutions include sponsor advertising signage, health and safety, event signage, catering and hospitality signage and site management signage to name a few. Back in 2005 when Burton Albion unveiled their new home at the Pirelli Stadium, Hardy Signs designed, manufactured and installed signage for both the interior and exterior of the project. Since that time, we have remained preferred supplier and supported the club on their journey to the football league.
Along the roadway to the main entrance of the facility, sign panels mounted on posts have been refurbished to reflect the new branding. In this instance, external grade vinyl lettering was used so that it is long lasting in outdoor conditions.
Inside the clubhouse, a reception signage to match the outdoor fascia signage has been installed, incorporating a brushed silver vinyl logo. The final piece of the project consisted of a custom designed and fabricated honours board located in the main bar area.
When discussing what kind of look they were going for they said they wanted something contemporary and a modern feature that reflects the direction the company is going in. The result was to design and install smoked acrylic sign panel with flame polished edges, completed by face-mounted etched vinyl text and full colour vinyl photo prints.
