Hardy Signs win big at the East Midlands Chamber’s Derbyshire Business Awards 2019.
We are delighted to announce that Hardy Signs have been chosen as the winners for the Manufacturer of the Year at East Midlands Chamber’s Derbyshire Business Awards 2019. The award celebrates a manufacturing organisation that has excelled over the last few years and are committed to continuous improvements and innovation.
Sponsored by Rolls Royce, the judges were looking at all aspects associated with the business; including short and long term objectives, manufacturing processes, examples of innovation, efficiency, sustainability and more. The judges visited each of the finalists for two hours, to find out more about their business. They also talked to the wider team to make sure that what they read in the application forms was correct.
Over the last few years, Hardy Signs has experienced steady growth. Our team is constantly getting bigger and it has managed to secure projects with leading UK and European brands. Within the past 12 months, we have completed our first major international project in Brussels. We have a keen commitment to the environment, prioritising best practises in our manufacturing processes, in order to complete this vision. In recent years, we’ve taken great steps to reduce waste, increase sustainability and maximise the efficiency of our manufacturing.
We’re committed to developing and investing in our workforce. The Hardy Signs ‘Sign and Print Academy’ at Burton and South Derbyshire College develops apprentices through work placement and we develop current staff through workshops and online training.
Amongst other things, judges were really impressed with ”the way Hardy Signs have grown, whilst maintaining that family mentality within the business”.
Pleased with the win, Nik Hardy, MD of Hardy Signs said: ”WOW, it’s the first word that comes to mind. Big thank you to Rolls Royce who took the time to come to Hardy Place and understand our business. We’ve been trading for 26 years now and a lot of the guys on stage here have contributed to our continued growth, which has made us the company we are today. We’re innovating year on year – and a big thank you to all our staff on stage, equally those who we couldn’t accommodate here tonight.”
We would like to extend our congratulations to all finalists and winners of the night, including HL Plastics and Work Wallet who were also finalists in our category!
We’re committed to putting our customers and partners at the forefront of what we do, by maintaining excellent customer support and innovating on our professional and digital signage solutions. This award is another milestone for our company and it encourages us to continue our growth.
Over the last 12 months the Hardy Signs Ltd team has also won:
