A multi-sport specialist store has recently employed Hardy Signs’ touch-screen technology to further enhance the shopping experience in their store in Reigate, Surrey.

Simply Sports is a member of Intersport, the largest sports retailer in the World, and they aim to give you the very best products, service and value. In store, customers are able to browse clothing and equipment from a wide range of sports but with an ever expanding catalogue of products Managing Director, Adrian Pointer, sought out a solution that would allow customers to browse the range in it’s entirety – on the store’s dedicated website www.simplysports.co.uk  

“We discovered Hardy Signs on a visit to the Excel Centre in London at which they were exhibiting” explained Adrian. “As luck would have it, they were showcasing the exact solution that I’d had in mind for some time. Following a brief initial chat, it was clear that the Hardy Signs team understood my vision and how best to implement it within our store.”

Following a site survey, an initial concept was drawn up by Hardy Signs to incorporate an illuminated fabric backdrop display which would highlight the new touch screen kiosk located just in front. The kiosk itself consists of a fully enclosed 42” multi-touch point display mounted on a custom branded base to complete the unit. To ensure the user’s browsing experience is succinct – Hardy Signs’ software creates a customised interface and restricts access to only the chosen website content. The installation team was able to minimise disruption to the running of the store which is key in a retail environment such as this.
