KPI Boards

Key Performance Boards or KPI boards are one of the best tools a business can use to monitor changes and reach a goal. A KPI board is used to record crucial information about how a business performs and keeps that information visible to employees to encourage positive achievements.

Every business should have goals to help them streamline and increase productivity. Keeping track of each step completed and achieved can be even more important than simply setting goals. When you use KPI boards in your workplace, you’re creating a visible reminder of where you want to be and what needs to be done to get there.

Guided and Streamlined Success

A benefit of KPI boards that isn’t considered very often is that a good KPI board can help to guide decisions based on the ultimate goal of the workplace. When a team understands what they are working towards as a unit, the KPI board is a great reminder of that strategy and works to keep everyone on the same page.

There’s more than one way to use a KPI board. A workplace can create a KPI board for the overall business which may have larger goals than a department or team. Keeping this kind of board in a centralized location helps to connect with all employees while reminding them of the business’s overall goals.

Teams or departments benefit from a KPI board in that it can keep track of specific targets such as customer successes, sales, production, marketing, research and development, and more. A good KPI board can be updated frequently as smaller milestones are met.

Distinctive Options

Not sure what kind of KPI board is right for your needs? There are many different KPI boards that can work for a plethora of industries. You can even order customizable boards that are geared to help you meet your goals.

Industry-specific boards can include ones that are designed to follow people, production processes, and financial and/or customer metrics. The right KPI board should be targeted toward helping your business to reach its goals as well as being easily changeable and customizable based on evolving needs.

Since each business has its own set of standards and values, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to KPI boards. Your standards are as unique as your business and it’s important to get the board that best matches your needs.

If you’re not sure whether you should get a customized KPI board or go for one that is geared towards your specific industry, you can always contact one of our experts for professional and knowledgeable advice.

Tips for the Right Fit

  • Be clear and concise when planning for a KPI board. The more details you can provide when buying a board, the more likely you will be able to be connected with the right board for you.
  • Involve people in your planning process who will be directly connected to the contribution and implementation of your plans.
  • Don’t compromise or settle when selecting your KPI board. The right board is invaluable in helping a business to grow and thrive.
  • Once you have the right board, this is the time when you can be flexible. Utilize your board and adjust to enable improvement and growth.

Tools to Exceed

The right KPI board can direct entire businesses into unifying and streamlining improvements and goals. There’s no time like the present to get a KPI board and move your business toward an exciting future.

KPI Visual Management

Our bespoke fabrication service allows your project vision to become reality.

Bespoke factory entrance and PPE boards to inform and protect your staff.

A key element to successful lean manufacturing is compliance with legislation and Health & Safety laws.

Shadow boards and equipment storage boards are used in the manufacturing and service industries.

KPI Visual Management

Any business that wants to improve its production and growth already knows the value of creating, scheduling, and visualizing its proposed actions while holding everyone accountable. KPI visual management provides a dynamic way to quickly and productively move a business toward its goals with the ability to adapt as needed.

Every workplace with a diverse workforce has the challenge of providing each employee with the tools to be successful. Each individual employed will have their own unique and specific form of learning—this often makes it seem impossible to get everyone on the same page at the same time.

This is exactly where KPI visual management can be effective and uniting for the whole team

Organic Objectives and Growth

With a KPI board, all objectives for the team should be visible and understandable to everyone. Once an activity has been accomplished or made a certain amount of progress, the activity then moves across the board from left to right. In simpler terms, the first action of an activity counts as the starting point of the KPI board race. Each completion of an activity “races” an employee step-by-step toward the finish line.

The beauty of KPI board management is that it’s easily adjusted for any changes and needs. If a certain activity needs to be customized or changed, the status of the activity doesn’t need to start over again. The flow of the board simply needs an adjustment to continue moving along.

Target Tracking to Suit Your Needs

Another way that KPI board management can be beneficial in a workplace is in tracking lengths of time in correlation with progression. No one business or team moves at the same pace, but KPI board management allows a workplace’s flow and progression to move at its own pace in a way that can be tracked and improved upon.

One of the most common uses for KPI board management is to monitor and update performances in different aspects of the workplace. A KPI board allows both supervisors and team members to see how they’re progressing with their own targeted goals and performance.

When considering implementing KPI board management or updating your current management tracking systems, consider how much you will be using and possibly updating your board. Some businesses use theirs every single day while others use their board once a month.

Enterprise Augmentation

No matter how often a board is used, there will need to be updating and adjusting targets on the board. A business that doesn’t use its KPI board very often may be able to get a simple, magnetic board where updates are simply papers that need to be switched out.

For those who utilize KPI board management in multiple aspects of their business every day, a more complex board that provides fast, simple replacement options would provide the ability to make smooth, daily changes with as little time wasted as possible.

KPI Boards to Suit Your Business Needs

KPI board management has been proven to be able to help businesses not only grow, but to help all employees understand objectives and stay on track. Your business deserves to have the best board to assist with KPI board management.

Lean 5S Products

Our bespoke fabrication service allows your project vision to become reality.

Bespoke factory entrance and PPE boards to inform and protect your staff.

A key element to successful lean manufacturing is compliance with legislation and Health & Safety laws.

Shadow boards and equipment storage boards are used in the manufacturing and service industries.

Our visual management solutions are designed to efficiently communicate data to the relevant people.

Lean 5S Products

The 5S process is a methodology that can help various types of businesses to improve their performance and efficiency. From manufacturing to janitorial services, the 5S process can be adapted to various functions. This means you can have different lean 5S products customised for your particular kind of business.

Understanding the Lean 5S System

The lean 5S system applies 5 concepts of Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, and Sustain to bring about a more effective, efficient and organised workplace. It promotes a clean and disciplined work environment that can help many businesses to boost their productivity and performance. It is an especially helpful methodology that can be applied to manufacturing and service sector businesses.

To implement this system, lean 5S products are used. This can include cleaning stations, shadow boards, organisational boards and informational boards. These boards can be customised in a variety of sizes and colours. They can incorporate a variety of messages to help improve how work is done. They can also be customised to be wall-mounted, floor affixed, or mobile. There is a lot of flexibility in how they can be designed to better suit the particular work environment.

Why Choose Lean 5S Products

Improves safety

By creating a visual means by which equipment or tools of your trade are kept organised, you can ensure better safety for your employees and customers. There is a reduced risk of accidents happening and employees are more easily able to get to what they need when they need it. They become more comfortable and motivated at work. It also promotes greater cleanliness and hygiene, which will also enhance workplace safety.

Better use of space

Many lean 5S products provide a more space-saving means of storing workplace tools and equipment. Shadow boards and shadow foams are examples of such products that make it easy to hang up these items, providing more floor space for other uses.

When you allocate a designated space for your tools and equipment, it also makes it easier to keep the work environment clean as you can more easily distinguish waste and get rid of it. You can also more easily identify equipment or tools that may need repairs or disposal. By having the right and effective tools on hand and using space more efficiently, you can more easily expand your operations and boost productivity.

Enhanced productivity

Lean 5S products help employees easily get to the tools and equipment they need when they need them. This means less time is wasted trying to trace items. They can get to work quickly, which increases productivity and ultimately, the bottom line of your business.

Increased workplace morale

When employees can work in an organised and clean environment, they become more motivated in their jobs. Dirty and disorganised workspaces can put a damper on the mood and make employees suffer low morale. When they can find the tools they need and can easily move around as there is no clutter lying around, more positive feelings and mindsets are fostered. This makes for a more cheerful and productive work environment.

5S boards

Our bespoke fabrication service allows your project vision to become reality.

Bespoke factory entrance and PPE boards to inform and protect your staff.

A key element to successful lean manufacturing is compliance with legislation and Health & Safety laws.

Shadow boards and equipment storage boards are used in the manufacturing and service industries.

Our visual management solutions are designed to efficiently communicate data to the relevant people.

5S boards

For businesses looking to encourage greater productivity and improve performance, 5S boards should be a key consideration. This visual sign helps to track progress where you have broken down goals or steps that need to be accomplished. The boards provide a convenient and simple way of visualising this progress so that all employees can feel more vested and kept informed.

What is the 5S process?

The 5S process stands for the five-step process. It is a methodology designed to nurture a more organised and productive work environment or workplace culture. The 5 S’s stand for Sort, Straighten or Set in order, Shine, Standardise, and Sustain. These steps are intended to help businesses become more disciplined to achieve greater improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness. It is a cyclical process that is meant to become a habit as the business continues to assess and improve upon itself.

5S boards provide a visual means to remind employees of this process. They are used to create shadow boards that can be customised in terms of design, size, and colour. Colour coding is a helpful way to create an informative visual effect. Their design can be combined with other signage elements like magnetic labels and document holders for greater versatility.

Incorporating 5S boards in the workplace can allow you to use them for multiple functions including storage and organising workspaces. The boards are often used in janitorial and kitchen areas. Any workspace that makes use of equipment or tools that can cause confusion can benefit from the use of this signage.

Benefits of 5S boards

Easy to understand

S5 boards are designed to be simply identified and understood. They are clearly labelled to help employees understand their purpose and use. They also often incorporate magnetic areas or whiteboards which allow for additional information or updates to be provided, if needed.

Durability

5S boards can be made from various materials, with wood, metal and acrylic frames often being the standard. When made from quality materials, they can be highly durable, even where they are frequently having to be handled.

Customisation

These boards can be customised in an array of designs to accommodate even the hanging of tools or cleaning equipment. They can be colour coded in various colours and labelled. Their designs can also incorporate branding and other messaging to inspire, educate and guide employees. They can also be made for mounting on the wall, to be floor fixed, or as mobile stations. They can also be made single or double-sided.

Organisation

The use of 5S boards can help to keep the work environment well organised, with everything being in its marked space. This can help improve performance and efficiency as there is little confusion, even with newer employees. There is also likely to be a reduction in the misplacement or loss of items.

Cleanliness

These boards also encourage better hygiene when it comes to equipment. There is less risk of cross-contamination due to designated storage and clear labelling that asserts what each item is supposed to be used for. In times such as the pandemic, this kind of organization and clarity helps to reduce the risk that employees will get sick and transmit illnesses. The boards are also made of materials that make them easy to clean and able to tolerate chemical cleaners or sanitisers.

Magnetic Whiteboards

Our bespoke fabrication service allows your project vision to become reality.

Bespoke factory entrance and PPE boards to inform and protect your staff.

A key element to successful lean manufacturing is compliance with legislation and Health & Safety laws.

Shadow boards and equipment storage boards are used in the manufacturing and service industries.

Our visual management solutions are designed to efficiently communicate data to the relevant people.

Magnetic Whiteboards

Magnetic whiteboards serve a dual purpose. They can be used as whiteboards on which information can be put up for display during office meetings and other presentations. They can also be used as a pinboard that allows employees, or even management, to put up notices, spreadsheets, notes, artwork and much more.

Unlike regular tack boards that require the use of pins that leave behind unsightly marks or holes on the board and the paper, magnetic whiteboards rely on magnets to hold up the pages and once taken down, leave no damage on the board.

They offer several benefits that make them ideal for use in many office environments. These include:

Versatility

As said, magnetic whiteboards can be easily used as both a whiteboard and a pinboard. But without having to worry about damage to its surface or the paper used to display whatever information.

It is also worth noting that there is the option to display notices or whatever other information on already printed paper, or by writing directly on the board itself. With a pinboard, any writing on the board would typically be permanent. With the magnetic whiteboard, once the information displayed is no longer needed, you can simply wipe it off. If left plain, the surface can also be used to play slides or videos. The unwritten surface can work well as a background for such presentations.

Durability

Due to how magnetic whiteboards are manufactured, they can end up being used for years without the need for any repairs or updates. They are typically made of tempered glass or porcelain that is quite resilient and will not easily break. The surface of the glass or porcelain is also quite scratch resistant and smooth, allowing for comfortable and prolonged use without issue. When properly installed, they make for a durable and safe option for office and classroom environments.

Easy Cleaning

Even after you have covered the surface of the whiteboard with all kinds of information, it is an easy matter to erase it and have a fresh start. This can be quite convenient when you have finished a project and are moving on to another, or in a class where each new day brings new subject matter to go over. Early whiteboards were somewhat porous, making cleaning not as easy. However, the current quality versions we offer do not allow for ink to be absorbed. The glass surface can be easily cleaned with minimal effort, providing you with a blank white surface to work with time and again.

Customisation

Magnetic whiteboards can be customised to fit whatever size of space. While white is standard for many offices, you can still choose to have it customised to whatever colour you want, particularly if in keeping with your company branding. There is much flexibility in designing magnetic whiteboards so they can be a better fit for the corporate environment you want to foster. You can also add logos or other features to its design for a more distinctive look. Aesthetics can even be enhanced by simply using magnets to pin attractive pictures or posters on the board.

Magnetic Boards

Magnetic signage is a great option for organisations that want more freedom to change or update their signage, possibly due to wanting to keep up with changing seasons or other factors. The signage is made with a magnetic backing that allows for easy application and adherence to magnetic boards that you can have installed at your business premises or even on vehicles.

They are also a popular choice for use at sports arenas where they can easily be added or removed from displays for events. You can use them to track competition performance or for decorative purposes. They can also be used to put up notices.

Magnetic signs and boards can also be used for advertising use. They are also often used by businesses that use their commercial vehicles for advertising. We help businesses on the move install magnetic boards which can easily accommodate a variety of signage to match whatever publicity or advertising needs.

The flexibility they provide means you can switch up your marketing campaigns as needed, quickly and affordably. Other benefits you can look forward to with this investment include:

Customisation

You can easily customise your signage on demand by changing up the message on your magnetic board. All that is required once you have the magnetic board is signage that comes with a magnetic backing that is compatible. Much like digital signage displays, the boards can be customised to whatever dimensions you require that will comfortably fit your premises or the size of your vehicle. You can also have the signage customised in whatever motif that suits your brand.

Easy maintenance

With the signage being laminated, you are also assured of ease when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. Whenever you need to remove the signage, you are assured there is no residue to deal with as it adheres thanks to magnetic force.

Durability

Magnetic boards are built to be long-lasting and can be comfortably used in both indoor and outdoor environments. They do not fade even under harsh sunlight and can be wind resistant when properly affixed. The boards are typically made of metal that can withstand whatever weather conditions, making them ideal for use where durability is needed.

Simplicity

Once installed, magnetic boards are easy to manage. A single person can easily set up signage as they want or take it down, with no extra help needed. The same goes for when you need to clean. This is a big convenience for businesses or other organisations that have limited staff and may regularly need to change up their signage.

Flexibility

Beyond the fact that you can alter this signage easily on demand, there is also the benefit of having flexibility. More so when the magnetic board has been installed on a vehicle. Many solo business owners will have just one vehicle for personal and work use. Installing a magnetic board allows them to put up work-related signage during working days, and take it all down when they are off the clock. No other type of signage allows for this level of flexibility.

Fabric Lightboxes

You need something that’s going to make your business stand out at the next trade show, event or display. Fabric lightboxes are a fantastic way to get noticed when you have your personalized graphic printed on backlit fabric.

Lightboxes are becoming commonplace in retail stores, trade shows, and more. This type of advertising allows businesses to appear modern and interesting.

A fabric lightbox generally consists of fabric that is affixed to frames with lights behind the fabric. This look gives a “lit from within” appeal meant to draw customers to a business.

Customizable Appeal

One of the best things about getting a fabric lightbox is that it can be customized to suit just about any need. Graphics, images, messages, and more are all able to be displayed on a fabric lightbox.

Fabric lightboxes are increasing in popularity due to how effective they are in attracting customers to a business. Promotional lightboxes have been able to increase sales and brand awareness with their unique and engaging visual appeal.

Stand-Out Success

Being recognized in today’s market for all of the right reasons is more important than ever. The competition is fierce and fabric lightboxes make a great tool to help a business stand out from the rest. Using lights in a fabric lightbox maximizes lights to draw the attention of potential customers. If a customer likes your lightbox, they’re already taking steps toward thinking that they like you!

One of the reasons that businesses take notice of fabric lightboxes is because they tend to be affordable. Once you have your fabric lightbox, you can easily replace lights, adjust to seasonal trends and even replace the fabric with a new graphic. All of those changes are relatively inexpensive, making a fabric lightbox a thoroughly good investment.

A Design as Unique as Your Business

Although the name “lightbox” may imply a simple square design, they aren’t limited to any shape, size, or lighting. You can also decide whether you want your lightbox to be freestanding or to hang from the ceiling. Depending on the use and location of your fabric lightbox, you can choose whether to get a single or double-sided box to maximize your message and space.

The longevity of a fabric lightbox also makes them a good financial investment. LED lights often outperform traditional light bulbs and are more cost-effective. Your fabric lightbox manufacturer can also help you to prepare for any extreme climate challenges you may face while it’s on display.

Lightboxes can have personalized illumination options that can help to increase the impact a graphic will have while on display. Most fabric lightboxes offer edge-lit, back-lit, or side-fire illumination.

The graphics on your fabric lightbox can be printed with your specific needs in mind. You can have vibrant, rich printing that makes your graphic pop out from the fabric lightbox. If you think that your fabric lightbox will need more durability, you can specify your needs while preparing to order your lightbox.

The Right Choice

Our experienced professionals will be able to walk you through all of your options and needs when you decide to buy a fabric lightbox. It’s important to take your time and carefully consider your options, as the right lightbox choice will truly make your business shine.

Braille & Tactile Signs

No matter where you operate your business, installing braille and tactile signs is a good idea. Some countries and cities require that a business have accessible ways to enter and exit a business as well as clear instructions in place for any impairment. Failure to do so can result in some hefty fines.

Having quality braille and tactile signs in your workplace can not only keep you compliant with laws but also sends a message of acceptance and diversity in the workplace.

An Enhanced Experience

For the visually impaired, having accessibility to braille enables them to be able to be independent and make educated decisions. Braille and tactile signs also let any visually impaired employees or customers know that they are important and worth the inclusion that these signs give to them.

When ordering braille or tactile signs, be sure to discuss what material is recommended for use where you plan to post the sign. Some materials can wear down easily while others can last for long periods with the right care. If you’re planning to put the sign in a high-traffic area, you’ll want to go with durable material. Common materials used for these types of signs include wood, metal, acrylic, and plastic.

Placing braille or tactile signs in your business does wonders in helping visually impaired people to maintain a high level of independence. Whether one of these types of signs is displayed in a restaurant, hotel, airport, doctor’s office, or other public location, they facilitate independence and productivity for a visually impaired person.

Inspired Trust in Your Business

You can imagine the frustration and even anxiety a visually impaired person may experience when there’s no braille or tactile sign to help guide their way. It makes it easy to understand why having these signs in your business matters to these customers. Avoiding frustration and anxiety opens a person up to having a favorable impression of a business that shows that they care.

Any business that wants to be successful knows that safety must be of a high priority. A visually impaired person who has braille or tactile signs easily accessible is more likely to be able to remain safe either as an employee or guest. In extreme cases, braille or tactile signs can help save a life if posted where a visually impaired person needs to be able to find emergency exits.

Safety, Style, and Satisfaction

With braille or tactile signs, a business can help maintain the safety of a workplace while providing anyone on site with a visual impairment to remain mobile. When ordering your sign, consider the size and location where you will be posting them. Think about signs for directions and identifiers (bathroom, break room, elevator, emergency exit, etc.).

When a business values all of the people who walk through its doors, word will get out about how welcoming and inclusive it is. Being valued can go a long way in how a business is perceived and how it performs. Investing in braille or tactile signs can do great things for any business, and we’re here to make that possible.

Illuminated Flex Face Sign

Unless a person has been in isolation for some time, they’ve probably seen at least one illuminated flex face sign while out and about. Flex face signs are often used for retail stores, shop fronts, and any other business that needs a large, flexible, customized sign that can withstand all that mother nature has to throw at it.

Typical flex face signs are made from a flexible material that allows it to bend and stretch under pressure. Sometimes a flex face sign will be referred to as a “skin,” in regards to how the sign can be stretched over the “skeleton” of the sign.

Stretching to Suit Your Needs

Several benefits can come with buying an illuminated flex face sign for a business. If you require a large sign for any location, this type of sign allows for more flexibility in size than if you were to buy signs made from composite panels or acrylic.

If you find that your business is branching out and you need to make an addition to your existing illuminated flex sign, it may be possible to fuse the addition onto the older sign. Even with two flex face signs, this sign will hold up against many weather challenges.

Illuminated flex face signs have internal lighting that will light them up from within their box. The outer design is made to be translucent so that the light seems to make the design of the sign glow. With personalized graphics shining through and catching passerby’s attention, illuminated flex face signs can make a memorable impression.

Some businesses may think that they can’t install an illuminated flex face sign due to size, weather, or more. But most businesses should have no problem having this type of sign installed. Many retail parks, stadiums, train stations, airports, bus stations, storefronts, casinos, restaurants, malls, and mobile vehicles have found success with their illuminated flex face signs.

A Meaningful First Impression

Though flex face signs are often associated with well-established locations and businesses, they can also be beneficial in other ways. Trade shows, announcements, product reveals, and extra large advertising are unique situations where illuminated signs can help you to stand out.

Great visibility, durability, and easy-to-recognize graphics are just a few of the benefits that a business can have with this type of sign. Illuminated signs are readily customizable, cost-effective, easy to transport and install, and have a long lifespan. These signs are also easy to modify when necessary.

A Sign Designed for You

When you’re ready to start shopping for illuminated flex face signs, it’s important to have your graphic design finalized and ready for the sign maker. An estimate of the size you’ll need will also be helpful when you shop.

Many businesses already know that illuminated flex face signs are made with great quality materials and are an excellent investment for their long-term brand recognition needs. With flexibility, longevity, and adaptability, buying an illuminated flex face sign can give any business an economical edge over the competition.

Kaizen Boards

Our bespoke fabrication service allows your project vision to become reality.

Kaizen Boards

Kaizen boards can be great visual tools that allow teams and businesses to track change and progress. In fact, the Japanese word “Kaizen” generally means to make a change for the better. The use of these boards provides visual motivation and proof of growth.

Adjust and Adapt

When using Kaizen boards, a business can continually adjust and adapt the board as workplace needs change and goals are met or exceeded. This visual aid is a great way to keep a team focused and accountable on how a business performs over time.

There are many areas in which a Kaizen board can help steer and even increase production in any business. It can help to reduce or eliminate waste, increase productivity, increase process flow and improve the value that is created.

Stay Focused

Kaizen boards provide a focus area for all involved in the evolution of change in a business. There is no one set method in which to use the board, as every process in each work environment is unique. The best way to use a Kaizen board is to view it as a tool rather than a hardline regulation.

Make It Work

One of the best places to start with creating a Kaizen board is when you have meeting after meeting where great ideas are being suggested for productivity improvement but nothing ever comes from it. Once the meeting ends, the ideas seem to be forgotten.

Using a Kaizen board is a great way to get those great ideas onto a tangible reminder to implement them to improve processes and workflows. If there doesn’t seem to be any time for someone to get a Kaizen board to a place where it can make a difference, consider giving an employee an hour a day during work to put it together. The small amount of time designated for the completion of a Kaizen board should pay off in the long run.

Get the Right Kaizen Board

Kaizen boards are made in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be adjusted as needed. While a board can be pretty basic, there are many ways to personalize and create Kaizen boards that suit each business’s needs.

Post-it notes provide a way to continually make progress on your board and make updates about the goals and flow of a business. Another way to use a Kaizen board is to highlight the people who are actively and successfully contributing to the ideas, change, and implementation of the work.

When deciding what you want from a Kaizen board, there are a few things to consider before placing your order. Consider the size of the business and how the board will be used. Typically, the more people who are involved with using the Kaizen board, the bigger the board should be for good visibility and input from everyone.

Next, consider if you want to use a white acrylic board that allows for an easy-to-clean, dry erase surface. Some businesses prefer to order a board with pre-printed graphics on it, providing a clear guide and timeline suited to their needs. Others like to have the option of ordering a board with a magnetic overlay to be able to add and remove anything from the board as needed.

Get Started With a Kaizen Board

Any business could be able to improve communication, ideas, and productivity with the right tools. With a Kaizen board, you can put your ideas together, track progress and enjoy a more efficient and productive workplace.
