Nik Hardy has been introduced as the new President of Burton Chamber of Commerce

Burton and District Chamber of Commerce have welcomed their new president Nik Hardy and vice-president, at their annual celebration hosted at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium.

Nik Hardy is introduced as the new President at the Chamber’s annual general meeting and celebration lunch. Nik is Founder & Managing Director of Hardy Signs, one of the most recognised signage suppliers in the United Kingdom.

The event was attended by over 80 businesses and decision makers across Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

Nik welcomed Monica Douglas Clark of Jones & Clark, as the new Vice-President. Monica will share the same role as Simon Chapman of Yee Group.

At the event Nik spoke about his new role, the benefits of being a chamber member and made his first pledges:

”Our Chamber achieved 12% growth in membership numbers in 2017. I’m committed to continue that upward trend and drive local economic growth and performance.

”I intend to uphold the dignity of the office and be the best ambassador I can be for the Chamber, for the region and business in particular.

”This year Hardy Signs Ltd will celebrate a major milestone, 25 years in business. We now designs, manufacture and install signage for companies located in all over the UK. Our roots and manufacturing base is in the heart of Burton on Trent. All the 25 staff live locally.

”Chamber membership is an exciting opportunity. In the Hardy Signs’ case we have been able to access grant funding, member benefits and discounts, business and legal support and advice – all form just a selection of attributes alongside workshops, exhibitions and more importantly networking events.”

John Manchester of Repton based Gibson Technology shared the incredible story of the world leading supplier of expertise in high performance race engines for the motorsport industry.

On Thursday 28th June, the Let’s do Business expo takes place at Uttoxeter Race Course. This will be the third consecutive year that Hardy Signs exhibits. We are looking forward to meeting our friends as well as new potential customers.
