Spanish Grupo Antolin – Antolin Interiors Ltd – has moved into a 113.000 sq ft unit on St Modwen’s Barton Business Park development, near Burton-upon-Trent.

The official inauguration took place on Tuesday 20th November 2018. The guests had a tour around the new building and its facilities followed by a light meal.

Nik Hardy, MD of Hardy Signs said: ‘’We are delighted that Grupo Antolin decided to expand in Barton leading into the creation of 150 new jobs. Congratulations to the Antolin Interiors Ltd team for doing a great job in organising the event.

I get to visit a lot of manufacturing companies and it became immediately apparent that Antolin has a strong sense of togetherness right from management to shop floor staff.

As President of Chamber of Commerce it will be a pleasure to report back to the GBCC committee this success story, one that I will happily share with the other presidents.’’

Robin Hills, General Manager at Grupo Antolin, said: ‘’Since relocating from Bristol in 2006, the Barton facility had been awarded new and replacement business over a number of vehicle programmes and reached its full manufacturing capacity.’’

Grupo Antolin has committed to a major investment at the Barton facility to take a new lease on the adjoining plot from St Modwen to consolidate future growth. Initially this will create an additional 150 positions within the business with further vehicle programmes planned in the next few years.”

Last week, Nik Hardy spoke to John Taylor High School students’ event at Branston Golf Club. Nik talked about his journey over the last 30 years. From being an apprentice at Slynns Traditional Signwriters, to starting Hardy Signs in 1993 and becoming the President of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce in 2018.

Burton & District Chamber of Commerce is a membership-based organisation that supports a wide range of businesses across East Staffordshire and the surrounding area.

It is one of the 10 divisions that are part of Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, joining a group of over 2,900 businesses representing over 180,000 employees across the region.

The growing number of new enterprises establishing their business centres and operations is a clear indicator of the continuing attraction of Burton and East Staffordshire; and there are now positive signs that this will continue.
