Hardy Signs are delighted to announce that we’ve been chosen as the winners for the Bringing Learning to Life award at Keele University’s Breaking the Mould inaugural awards.
Breaking the Mould celebrates the growing innovation-led organisations, that have benefitted from the range of innovative support programmes that are available from Keele University. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday 17 October 2019 in Keele’s brand new Smart Innovation Hub.
The event was hosted by Anita Rani, one of the most recognisable faces on British TV. Anita is well known for many things, but amongst them for BBC’s critically acclaimed War On Plastics. Anita’s work and talk during the event got us all at Hardy Signs thinking about how we can further improve on single-use plastics.
Hardy Signs were also nominated for the Collaboration of the Year which was won by Solisco Ltd. They were founded with a mission to inspire and support the emerging Electric Vehicle (EV) and Renewable Energy market with innovative solutions that harness the power of the sun. Congratulations to Solisco and all the other finalists and winners!

In January 2019, we partnered with Keele University’s Research and Innovation Support Programme (KRISP), to conduct research on Lean Manufacturing and the utilisation of Digital Signage in the manufacturing environment.
A comprehensive report offers insight into the history of lean manufacturing, development of digital lean, how-to engage workers, agile manufacturing, etc. It also analysis the lean manufacturing products that Hardy Signs offers and highlights new areas that the company can develop to help manufacturing companies develop their own processes.
Hindu Hussein, developed the initial ideas of Hardy Signs and Keele University with the assistance of senior lecturer Dr. Colin Rigby and Emma Bonfiglio of Keele Business School.
