With the dust still settling on the incredible scenes from Wembley Stadium this Bank Holiday Monday, jubilant fans took to the streets of Huddersfield Town to celebrate their team’s historic play-off final victory.

On Tuesday night, the town saw more than 25,000 attend Huddersfield Town ‘s victory parade following their promotion to the Premier League just 24 hours earlier. The parade left the John Smith’s Stadium heading to St George’s Square with the team, staff, family and friends travelling in the focal point of the journey – an impressive, fully branded, double-decker, open-top bus. Hardy Signs Limited of Burton on Trent were commissioned by the football club to supply and install the full colour, vinyl wrap in time for the event.

The ‘vehicle wrap’ process is an increasingly popular marketing tool for organisations across the UK and allows stunning photographic images and designs to be applied to almost any vehicle. Using specifically designed adhesive films with digital print – the application negates the requirement for painting the bodywork of the vehicle and also means that the film is easily removed at the end of its life.

The Championship play-off final is rumoured to be the most lucrative tie in football and as Huddersfield defender Chris Schindler netted the winning penalty on Monday – Hardy Signs watched with added anticipation. A team of 10 experienced installers then set to work in applying the printed film to the entire exterior of the bus – carried out at the manufacturing headquarters in the heart of the Midlands. Having successfully completed a similar project of two parade buses for Burton Albion Football Club just 12 months previous, Hardy Signs were the natural choice to produce the graphics and apply them in such a short time frame.

Since Tuesday’s parade – newspaper reports, photographs and video footage have spread across the UK showing ecstatic manager David Wagner celebrating aboard the branded bus – scenes that will become part of the club’s history. “We’re delighted to have been involved in this project” explained Tom Hardy, General Manager. “The results are stunning and it’s only fitting that the work is being viewed on a national scale”.

“We feel that our experience in this area and the ability to work to such short deadlines is where Hardy Signs score” added Nik Hardy, Managing Director. “We wish Huddersfield all the best in their Premier League campaign next season and look forward to helping other clubs, teams and organisations with their success stories in the future”.

The 2017-18 Premier League season – complete with Huddersfield Town – starts on 12 August.
