Hardy Signs joins hundreds at YMCA Burton Sleepout18

On Friday 9th November, Hardy Signs joined over 200 other members of the business community and local community in Burton upon Trent to sleeping rough for a night and most importantly raise awareness and donations for homeless people.

Although it was predicted to rain, a record number of 240 people signed up, turning the 10 edition of the sleep-out into the biggest so far. Hardy Signs have raised nearly £1000 while the campaign #Sleepout18 has already bagged over £27,000, with many more donations pouring in. A couple of free standing digital signs were also placed at the Pirelli Stadium, showing figures about homelessness in the UK and  a series of pictures of places homeless people sleep in Burton upon Trent.

Paul Laffey, CEO of Burton YMCA thanked all the participants, volunteers, YMCA staff, local businesses and all the other supporters before he headed to St Modwen’s Church graveyard where around 40 people and Paul slept rough.
