Team Hardy Signs had an incredible time attending the Generation Next Awards 2024 and Summer Social at the vibrant Bustler Market in Derby! This event was a fantastic celebration of emerging talent and we were thrilled to be a part of it for another year running.

As proud sponsors of the Innovation and Technology Award, it was an honour to see the exceptional level of talent and creativity displayed by all the nominees. The competition was fierce, showcasing the incredible advancements being made in the industry.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s award went to the brilliant Elizabeth Ashton, a research associate at Loughborough University. Elizabeth’s groundbreaking work truly exemplifies the spirit of innovation and technological excellence that we strive to support and celebrate.

Elizabeth and the team at Loughborough University have received over 12 million pounds in project-based grants to build and operate a lead-acid battery electrolyser to achieve high-efficiency green hydrogen production. Not only is this a huge breakthrough for the University, as they are the first organisation to undertake this development, but the team have global project partners to deploy a lead-acid battery in every microgrid in Africa, which will deliver major economic, environmental and societal benefits. Congratulations Elizabeth and good luck with the next steps of the project.”
