”Hardy Signs is celebrating a quarter century of business.

Founded by Nik Hardy, also president of the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, who started his career as an apprentice at Slynn’s Signwriters.

At 23, Nik took the plunge and purchased his own a vinyl cutter, setting up his business from his home garage. The business moved into their first premises at Wharf Road in 1996.

Since their humble beginnings, the firm have gone from strength to strength, securing contracts and clients including B&Q, St George’s Park National Football Centre, National Memorial Arboretum, Nestle UK, Huddersfield Town Football Club, Burton Albion FC and Branston Golf & Country Club.

Hardy Signs are now based at The Maltsters, off Wetmore Road, named ‘Hardy Place’.

The custom built production centre includes a design studio, vehicle wrapping bays, three print studios and two workshops for manufacturing an ever-expanding range of products.

Hardy Signs now employs 25 staff and is investing in the local community, supporting a number of local charities including YMCA Burton, Burton Albion Community Trust, Midlands Air Ambulance, St Giles Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and Prostate Cancer UK to name a few…you can read more on here.
