With the summer months approaching, Hardy Signs have been busy designing, manufacturing and installing signage at one of the largest family holiday resorts in the UK.
Butlins, at Minehead in the West Country are gearing up for a busy season and have recently drafted in Hardy Signs to create some new and exciting signage for their Children's Activity areas.
"The intial process of these works was to survey Butlins in Bognor Regis, helping us to gain a good knowledge of the style of signage required" explained project manager, Tom Hardy.
The signage is quite unique in its design and in the materials used... the idea was to create large scale 'totem' style signs mounted on telegraph style poles. They combine a mixture of clean cut, full colour printed PVC lettering with rustic, engraved timber signs.
To make the signage yet more bespoke, Hardy Signs have used a genuine axle, wheels and tyres for the 'Dune Buggy' attraction... As with all of the the signage, these had to be precisely machined and carefully installed in an area where the volume of children will be high.
"We had to consider the fact that these signs would be subject to a high number of families with young children... with this in mind, and in order to reduce disruption to the general running of the resort, our team worked out of hours to complete the installation" added Tom.
