As part of a dedicated ‘Continuous Improvement’ policy, this March, Hardy Signs have teamed up with 3M technologies… the global market leader in commercial vehicle graphics.
In a quest to produce high quality printed graphics and successfully apply them to all makes and models of vehicles, the Hardy Signs team were anxious to combine 3M’s scientific knowledge in a new, purposely designed vinyl product; with their own extensive experience of vehicle graphic application.
The graphic film, known as IJ380 has been developed by 3M technologies with a single purpose… successful ‘Vehicle Wrap’. The operation involves a digital printing process to produce the required design for a vehicle onto the vinyl film. The film is then laminated with a further clear gloss film for protection. Then, with the 3M approved techniques and heating processes, the film is applied to the body of the vehicle – with stunning results.
Having attended training courses at the 3M depot in Atherstone, Hardy Signs installers are now fully versed in the IJ380 film and it’s application… becoming the only licensed installer in the region.
Design Manager Adam Bates commented “The introduction of vehicle wrapping opened a whole new avenue for vehicle signage a number of years ago… giving the opportunity to use full colour images and design to great effect. However, there are many products on the market that just didn’t live up to expectation. In this film, 3M have produced what we believe to be the perfect solution”.
Managing Director Nik Hardy added “There are many attributes to the 3M system that set it apart from the rest. With the reputation and reliability of an international company behind a product like this, it installs confidence in the customer for a long lasting product and ultimately, great value for money.”
